Overview
In our effort to showcase SeaDek’s superiority in marine flooring, we produced three entertaining commercial videos. These not only highlighted SeaDek’s transformative power but also humorously portrayed how it rejuvenates boats, capturing the essence of a “New Boat” experience, our campaign slogan.
The Challenge
In a competitive industry, SeaDek emerges as the premier choice for EVA marine flooring. We aimed to enhance the customer experience through engaging video content that surpasses typical product promotion. Rather than relying solely on features and sales pitches, we created skits reminiscent of television commercials. This blend of entertainment and information aims to engage both current and potential customers in a memorable way.
The Process
Executing these three commercials required extensive pre-production planning and proactive management to ensure a smooth and flawless execution. Filming took place over three consecutive days, each outdoors, making favorable weather a critical factor. Our 16-person crew played an essential role in maintaining the production’s efficiency and timeliness. We engaged different talent for each shooting day and conducted several table reads leading up to the production. From securing beach permits to setting up and breaking down in three distinct outdoor locations, and navigating unpredictable weather, we successfully brought this campaign to life.
“JV Studios was hired on to conceptualize, direct, produce, and market several videos for SeaDek, ranging from a new Brand Story video to product commercials and campaigns, which they then managed strategy and distribution throughout social media, and OTT / CTV. The work that JV Studios has completed for us has filled an insurmountable gap in our content creation, and they have provided us with valuable content, creative solutions, and maintaining our brand awareness through strategic channels and marketing directives.”
– Gina Tanner – Visual Design Lead – SeaDek
The Results
These three videos were crucial to the success of the “It’s Like a New Boat” campaign. Strategically distributed across social media, paid advertising channels, and CCTV and PMAX campaigns, they injected entertainment into the marine flooring sector, overall boosting brand awareness.

Overview
SeaDek isn’t just for boats anymore…you heard that right. As SeaDek continues to innovate as a leader in the industry, the company recently decided to develop into different industries outside the marine industry. With the rollout of the RV Step Covers, it was important to back up the initiative with strong creativity to announce their latest industry expansion, hence “The Spokesperson” was born.
The Challenge
As SeaDek prepared to expand into the RV industry, we faced the challenge of bridging the gap between their established reputation in boating and their new venture. It was crucial to craft a concept that not only celebrated SeaDek’s marine legacy but also effectively introduced their innovative RV Step Covers. Our team rose to the challenge with creative scriptwriting and development, designing a walk-and-talk style video that both highlighted SeaDek’s expertise and humorously addressed their industry shift. By engaging viewers with a playful break of the fourth wall, we successfully showcased the brand’s new direction while honoring its marine roots.
The Process
On production day, we had to ensure every element was perfectly prepared and in place. A key part of the process was designing and recreating a campground setting that felt authentic. With a 12-person production team and 5 professional actors, we brought this vision to life. The seamless collaboration between the crew and cast ensured that all aspects of the shoot came together effectively, resulting in a highly successful final product.
The Results
This video was widely distributed across social media channels during the launch of the RV Step Covers, serving as the official announcement for SeaDek’s latest expansion. It has since become a central element in our paid advertising strategies and PMAX campaigns, effectively driving ongoing engagement and visibility.

Project
Overview
We teamed up with SeaDek to create a brand story offering a behind-the-scenes look at their manufacturing process, following the journey of their products from the factory floor to the experience they create for customers. The goal of the video was to generate brand awareness and build a loyal customer base.
The Challenge
SeaDek contacted us to help conceptualize a new look and feel for the SeaDek brand. New competitors have emerged in the market, and SeaDek needed to stand out. As the leading manufacturer of marine flooring, it was important to showcase how their products are made and how they create a superior boating experience.
The Process
We worked closely with SeaDek’s marketing team to ensure our ideas were on brand. After we got the green light, we began conceptualizing the script, casting talent, scouting locations, and sourcing the right crew. The shoot took place across three days in Rockledge and Merritt Island, Florida. Then our team edited the footage, scored the music, color-graded the footage, and mastered the audio.
“Relying on the weather was a huge factor in this project. Since the first shoot day was all exterior captures, we had to strategically map out the best times of day starting from sunrise to sunset. Since we weren’t local and had limited time out there, we had to make it work no matter what. Luckily, we were able to capture all three lifestyle scenes right before a big storm came through.”
—Vince Pinto, Director, JV Studios
The Results
SeaDek was very excited to launch this video. Not only did it serve as a strong brand piece, but it was something they had never done before. The video was organically shared all across their social channels and embedded on their website.
