FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE
Project
Overview
JV Studios traveled to Sanctuary Studios in the Bahamas for a week to document Florida Georgia Line recording their fifth studio album, Life Rolls On. We filmed and edited a multi-video series capturing the recording process, candid moments, and the creative energy behind the album release.
The Challenge
Florida Georgia Line had a limited window at Sanctuary Studios in the Bahamas to complete the recording of their album, with the singers constantly bouncing between songs and sessions. With so much happening in a short amount of time, our team had to stay flexible and ready to capture the right moments as the recording process unfolded.
At the same time, we needed to be a fly on the wall. The goal was to capture authentic moments without making the artists feel like they were constantly being filmed or asked to perform for the camera, allowing the recording process to feel natural and unforced.
The Process
Each day at Sanctuary Studios focused on a specific song, with the artist moving quickly from one recording session to the next. Our team had to make sure we captured enough coverage for each track while staying flexible as the schedule shifted throughout the day.
By staying closely connected to the recording process, we were able to capture the performances, studio moments, and behind-the-scenes content needed to build the full series.
““Being out in the Bahamas recording our fifth album was such a special experience. There’s something really unique about being at a place like Sanctuary Studios—it gives you the space to step away from everything, get creative, and just be yourself. We’re incredibly grateful we got to make this record in such a beautiful and inspiring place.” — Tyler Hubbard, Lead Vocals – FGL
The Results
The five videos were shared across Florida Georgia Line’s social media channels and their YouTube to promote the release of Life Rolls On, giving fans an inside look at the making of the album. The series extended the album campaign beyond the music itself, bringing audiences into the recording process and showcasing the experience behind the songs.
